Roles and Responsibilities of the Governing Body
Annai Velankanni’s College of Arts & Science
- Ensure effective management of the institution and plan for its future development.
- Approve the mission, strategic vision, and long-term academic plans, ensuring alignment with the interests of stakeholders, including students, local communities, Government, and public representatives.
- Monitor institutional performance and quality assurance, benchmarking against peer institutions where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with statutes, ordinances, and regulations of statutory bodies such as UGC, the State Government, and the Affiliating University (UNOM).
- Implement non-discriminatory systems to provide equal opportunities for staff members and students.
- Monitor the implementation of government-mandated reservations for seats and staff positions, providing support to minority groups as required.
