Women Fest Celebrations

Womens Day programme was celebrated in a grand manner on 08-03-2022 (Tuesday) at Annai Veilankanni’s College for Women. Dr.S.Devaraj, Chairman, Dr.Delphin Devaraj, Vice Chairperson, Dr.D.Dev Anand, Secretary, Dr.D.Johny Christopher, Director of Annai Veilankanni’s Group of Educational Institutions presided over the function. The purpose of celebrating Women’s Day is – To raise awareness about the status and dignity of women among the students. Students were categorized into four teams and all the teams participated enthusiastically in various Competitions conducted through offstage and onstage. Ms. Sridevi Dev Anand, executive member, Annai Veilankanni’s Group of Educational Institutions coordinated the function. Actress Rekha was the guest of honour and inaugurated the function. In her speech she insisted about celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Actress Pavani was the guest of honour for valedictory function and distributed the prizes for the winning teams. The function ended by the vote of thanks rendered by Ms. Sangeetha Lakshmi, Assistant Professor & Cultural Coordinator.
